APPROVAL OF BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH AND INNOVATION CENTER (BRIC), MIST
To accelerate and make research, innovation, development, and testing activities more effective, a well-planned and organized center is needed in the Biomedical Engineering Department. Consequently, a plan was undertaken to establish BRIC (Biomedical Research and Innovation Center), where the functions of this center will include conducting research activities on contemporary health-related issues funded by national and international research grants, carrying out clinical trials of drugs developed for various incurable diseases, validating medical devices, and providing training on relevant health-related topics and technologies.
On January 19, 2025, the center received official approval from the DGDA to conduct research activities. As a result of this approval, the BME Department's center at MIST has now been listed under the DGDA, similar to other authorized institutions and organizations.
