CSE Department's Team Shines Bright at IEEE BUP Branch Fest
Team Powernap from MIST secured the champion position in the "Research-Based Poster Presentation" segment at the IEEE BUP Branch Fest 2023, which was hosted by IEEE BUP Student Branch, IEEE SB WIE Affinity Group, and IEEE Computer Society BUP Student Branch Chapter. The team includes 5 members - Enan Abdullah Khan, Khaled Hasan Irfan, Maliha Zerin, Nuraia Nahrin Fahmida, and Tariq Hasan Rizu, all from CSE-20. They presented their one-year-long capstone project, "Light Canvas - An Interactive Virtual Drawing System," which is a smart education tool that can project a drawing board on any flat surface, enabling its use for teaching children in diverse backgrounds and bridging the technology gap between urban and rural schools. They received their prize from Brig Gen Md Mustafa Kamal, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, BUP, and were awarded handsome prize money as recognition.
